Day 22/ 365

Today was the first day with my new mindset, new routine checklist and my new way to structure/reflect on my day.

Today’s routine checklist:

  • Wake up early: 5:45 AM
  • Meditation 20 minutes. Today’s meditation wasn’t as peaceful as yesterdays/day before. But I was able to focus and control my thoughts for the most part 🙂
  • Thinkright.me “I am in charge of my attitude, and hence in-charge of my life” : Watch your attitude. Your attitude is your biggest asset. A positive attitude gives you the power to overcome your circumstances. A positive attitude will lead to positive outcomes.
  • Gurbani nitnem, rehras sahib
  • Gratitude Today I am the most grateful for being able to have an early start to my day.
  • Today’s Food Intake
    • Lemon water
    • fresh juice
    • greek yogurt with some maple syrup walnuts and berries
    • leftover pizza
    • 6 pieces of Portfolio Home Trends chocolates (these are too tempting but my goal for tomorrow is to avoid having these and making myself healthy chocolate oat balls instead)
    • mango shake
  • Organization organized all the notes on my notes app, organized my to do’s for work (halfway done)
  • Walk walked Mayhem twice today, total about 30 minutes
  • Yoga re-started the 3 week yoga retreat. Completed week 1, day 1 today. I will definitely have to repeat this again next week as I have lost a lot of my strength (it’s been a while) and couldn’t properly keep up with the routine for the entire time today
  • Exercise Todays exercise was a bike ride for 30 minutes
  • Work I clocked in once I reached my desk and clocked out once I sat in my car to leave work. It was a full 8 hours today all in the office
  • Self-care & relaxation I feel like I took good care of myself today and although I was very productive, I am also feeling very relaxed. I didn’t have to cook since lunch was already prepared and I haven’t cooked dinner yet – might just eat something quick and easy and call it a day 🙂
  • Family I dropped by to my moms house after work, I went to my cousins place after that and then spent time chatting with my sister while biking
  • Blog working on this right now
  • Sleep will probably go to bed by 10:15 PM
  • Positivity & Productivity except for a slight annoyance that disturbed my peace of mind slightly, the rest of the day was positive, productive & peaceful for the most part.

So I am feeling very content with today. I’ve found a way that I think can work long-term to find some normalcy, balance and discipline in my life (which I’ve realized time and time again is what I really need for my internal peace and happiness). As I was preparing for this reflection, I came up with the above format to do my reflections while completing my daily checklist. It’s been a win-win in all aspects today!
