Very positive, motivated & energetic today!

Day 155/ 365

I had a super amazing start to the day today. Feeling very grateful. When you wake up feeling happy, more positive and energetic – that sets the tone for the rest of the day (and when it happens to be on a Monday morning that will (hopefully) set the tone for the rest of the week!). I just happened to wake up feeling more positive, motivated and energetic today. I was feeling a bit down by the end of the day yesterday – even though I started off with excitement about a new month. Something happened that caused me to feel kind of low in mood, feelings and energy. But somehow my thoughts were able to fix themselves and for that I am super grateful. This week I am going to try to share my daily routine checklist on the blog – and the goal is to check off as many items off the list everyday as I can. And make each new day just as good as the previous (or better). But I never want to push myself or make myself feel bad about not doing everything. I realize it’s a huge blessing and even privilege to be able to do so many things in my day focusing on myself. I feel very happy and blessed to be in this very good flow with life. My goal is to really learn to fill my own cup so one day I can be able to give more of myself to the world and contribute in a very meaningful way – as I know I am meant to. But in order to be able to give – I really have to make sure I take care of myself. I think everyone can understand that one has to be in a very good place -mentally, emotionally, physically and even spiritually before they can be able to truly love and give to others.

Today’s Daily Routine Checklist

  • Wake up early I woke up at 7 AM today. I will be able to check off waking up early if I wake up at 6 AM (or earlier)
  • Meditation Haven’t had the time to meditate yet.
  • Thinkright.me Didn’t use the app today yet
  • Gurbani Didn’t complete my full nitnem today – I will only be checking this off if I have done the minimum.
  • Gratitude Today I am the most grateful for waking up to a more positive and better version of myself. I am definitely feeling God’s presence and love – for which I am grateful.
  • Today’s Food Intake
    • Lemon water
    • Fresh juice (with my iron and B12 supplements)
    • Banana
    • 1.5 roti with aloo bhurji sabji (made by my mom.. thanks mom! & it was super yummy!!)
    • Pecans and papaya
    • Protein smoothie made by my husband – thank you hubby. I love you so much ❀
  • Organization My work life is becoming organized. πŸ™‚
  • Walk I took Mayhem for an evening walk and reached my goal of 10K steps/day!
  • Yoga I started week 3 of the 3 week yoga retreat. This is something new and very exciting. For the past couple of years since I have had a beachbody on demand membership – I have been doing the 3 week yoga retreat on and off. I have never made it to week 3 until today!! Huge progress. Did day 1 today and it was a huge success. Feel so amazing and can’t wait to continue the journey tomorrow (and for the rest of the week).
  • Exercise I worked out back and biceps with my sister and husband today. Recently, we have all started working out together because gyms and hot yoga have been closed due to covid. It’s been fun and today was the first day that I was able to keep up with them for the entire workout!! So many achievements today.
  • Work 9-6
  • Self-care & relaxation I am definitely spending all my free time (except the time that I have to work) taking care of myself and doing activities (yoga, working out, walking, meditation, blogging, etc.) – which make men feel happy, cared for, and relaxed. Definitely planning to check this off my list everyday!
  • Family Didn’t visit my parents house today – but spoke to mom on the phone and checked in with my other sister. πŸ™‚
  • Blog Happy to be here
  • Sleep Hopefully can be in bed by 11 PM so I can be awake by 6 AM tomorrow!
  • Positivity & Productivity Super positive and super productive today.
  • Any additional lessons learned/Thoughts of the day Been so busy that I hardly had time to stay with my thoughts. It was go-go-go today. I liked the pace – it’s nice to feel so productive and accomplished. Looking forward to tomorrow. Thank you for sharing in my journey with me. Hoping for more positivity & happiness for you too!
